A pneumatic hangar PANHORIZON

is a modern rapid-deployment structure in which the load-bearing function is performed by sealed pneumatic beams filled with air under operating pressure.
This is an engineered industrial construction, not an “inflatable tent”. The valve system maintains the required pressure, and the automation activates only a few times per hour for a short period. Continuous power supply is not required.
A new type of construction for Africa: fast, without permanent foundations, with minimal operating costs.

Minimal energy consumption — the key advantage of the technology

The pressure maintenance system in PanHorizon pneumatic hangars operates on the principle of smart automation:
  • Special valves maintain the operating pressure inside the pneumatic beams.
  • The automation activates only when necessary — on average 2–3 times per hour for 30–60 seconds.
  • The rest of the time the structure consumes no electricity.
Actual energy consumption: The cost of the inflation system is approximately 1 kWh per m² per month.
This makes it possible to:
  • Operate from a small generator
  • Use solar panels
  • Significantly reduce operating costs compared to metal and classic tent hangars
Continuous power supply to maintain the structure is not required.

Simplified permitting process — a key advantage for Africa

Pneumatic structures belong to the category of temporary or relocatable constructions. This fundamentally distinguishes them from permanent buildings:
  • Installation approval is significantly faster and less expensive.
  • When relocating to a new site, a full cycle of building permits is not required.
  • The structure can be legally moved to another location without developing a new project.
Full package — what other manufacturers sell separately
In the price of a PanHorizon pneumatic hangar “turnkey”, we include the maximum of necessary equipment and systems:
  • Load-bearing pneumatic frame made of multi-chamber PVC beams
  • Reinforced PVC membrane (density 650–900 g/m²)
  • Automatic pressure maintenance system with valves
  • Anchoring or ballast system
  • Doors (including for oversized equipment)
  • Ventilation system
  • Industrial lighting
  • Fixing points and inserts for engineering systems
  • Inserts for video surveillance and fire extinguishing
More about pneumatic structure technology…

Unlike air-supported structures, where pressure is maintained throughout the entire internal volume, pneumatic frame technology uses separate load-bearing air elements. This ensures the stability of the structure and reduces dependence on the continuous operation of high-power fans.
During design, PanHorizon specialists take into account the purpose of the facility, the climatic conditions of the region, wind and rain loads, temperature regime, as well as ventilation and engineering system requirements. This approach makes it possible to adapt each structure to real operating conditions.
For the manufacture of the envelope, modern membrane materials with increased resistance to ultraviolet radiation, high humidity and temperature fluctuations are used. If necessary, the structure can be supplemented with a double membrane, industrial ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, heating and automatic microclimate control systems.
Thanks to their modular design, pneumatic hangars can be used as warehouses, production facilities, aircraft hangars, logistics complexes, agricultural facilities and temporary engineering structures in virtually any climatic conditions.
Pneumatic Hangar VS Metal Hangar VS Tent Hangar
One of the key advantages of the technology is low operating costs throughout the entire service life.
  • he pressure maintenance system activates briefly according to a schedule
  • Membrane service life — more than 25 years
  • No corrosion — no need for regular painting or anti-corrosion treatment
  • Possibility of local repair of individual sections without dismantling the entire structure
Unlike metal hangars, there are no costs for rust protection or continuous high-power climate control equipment. Compared to classic tent structures, the durability and stability of the construction are significantly higher.
As a result, the total cost of ownership of a pneumatic hangar over a 10–15 year horizon is often lower than that of alternative conventional solutions.
PanHorizon pneumatic hangars
are successfully used wherever it is necessary to quickly create reliable infrastructure without lengthy permanent construction.

PanHorizon
Any form starts with an engineering idea
Pneumatic structures are not limited to standard arched hangars. Modern engineering technologies make it possible to create structures of almost any shape, size and purpose — from compact mobile modules to large industrial complexes and architectural objects with unique geometry.
Every PanHorizon project is developed individually. The calculation takes into account the dimensions of the structure, architectural features, climatic conditions of the region, wind and operational loads, engineering systems, as well as requirements for internal space and the purpose of the facility.
That is why the cost is calculated separately for each project. This approach allows us to offer a technically justified solution that matches the client’s tasks without overpaying for unnecessary elements.
